Maritime solar module – mobile, robust and individually finished

This high-quality, lightweight photovoltaic module , specially developed for maritime use , has been optimized and refined to allow flexible mounting on the railing wire .

Advantages of this design

  • Improved heat dissipation: The design allows for optimal rear ventilation and cooling through natural convection and wind, ideal for minimizing heat-related power losses .
  • Yield maximization: The tilt angle can be continuously adjusted from horizontal to vertical – ideal for maximizing yield depending on the position of the sun.
  • High power-to-weight ratio: Weighing only 4.7 kg with a peak power of 120 watts , this module offers a higher power-to-weight ratio than framed modules, even when taking temperature-related power loss into account. This means: More power with less weight!
  • Quick assembly and disassembly: The module can be assembled and disassembled in just a few steps, allowing for a quick response to any situation .

Robust quality

All components of the module-supporting frame are deliberately significantly oversized to withstand even the most adverse conditions permanently.

  • ETFE layers: Two ETFE layers permanently protect the solar cells from environmental influences.

  • 11 Busbar Technology: 11 electrical conductors ensure optimal current throughput and reduce the impact of partial shading.

  • Monocrystalline solar modules: A single crystal lattice leads to the highest efficiency in power generation.
  • Aluminum backsheet: protects the solar cells from cell cracks.

  • Frame: Anodized aluminum surrounds the edge of the panel and protects the layered structure. It has the same thermal expansion as the AL backsheet, further increasing its lifespan.

  • All screw connections: A4 stainless steel – particularly saltwater resistant and corrosion resistant due to the addition of molybdenum.

  • Corner pieces & railing hooks: carbon fiber reinforced plastic – extremely stable and UV-resistant

  • High wind speeds: designed for up to and including Beaufort 6

Flexible mounting options

  • Railing wire mounting : suitable for diameters up to 5 mm

  • Railing tube mounting : suitable for 20 mm or 25 mm railing tubes

  • Assembly: simply hook it onto the railing, clip the carabiner further down, tension the lines - done.
