Marine Solar Panel – mobile, robust, and custom-finished

This high-quality, lightweight photovoltaic module, specially developed for marine use, has been optimized and refined to allow for flexible mounting on the guard rail wire.

Advantages of this design

  • Improved heat dissipation: The design allows for optimal rear ventilation and cooling through natural convection and wind, ideal for minimizing heating-related power losses.
  • Yield maximization: The tilt angle can be adjusted continuously from horizontal to vertical – ideal for maximizing yield depending on the sun's position.
  • High power-to-weight ratio: A weight of only 3.0 to 4.7 kg with a power output of 120 peak watts means a higher power-to-weight ratio than framed modules, even when considering temperature-related power loss, meaning: More power with less ballast!
  • Quick assembly and disassembly: Only a few steps are needed to assemble and disassemble the module, allowing for quick reaction to any situation.

Robust Quality

All parts used in the module-supporting frame are deliberately and significantly oversized to permanently withstand even the most adverse conditions.

  • ETFE Layers (both): ETFE high-tech plastic ensures weight savings and simultaneously high light transmission of max. 96%

  • Aluminum Backsheet (ETFE AL): protects the solar cells from cell cracks

  • 11 Busbar Technology (ETFE AL): 11 electrical busbars ensure optimal current flow and reduce the impact of partial shading

  • SPR High-Performance Cells (Sunpower ETFE): market-leading Sunpower cells from American production for the highest possible efficiency
  • Frame: anodized aluminum encloses the edge of the panel and protects the layer structure. Same thermal expansion as the AL backsheet - further increases lifespan.

  • All screw connections: A4 stainless steel – particularly saltwater-resistant and corrosion-resistant due to the addition of molybdenum

  • Corner pieces & railing hooks: fiberglass-reinforced plastic – extremely stable and UV-resistant

  • High wind speeds: designed up to and including Beaufort 6

Flexible Mounting Options

  • Guard rail wire mounting: suitable up to 6 mm diameter

  • Guard rail tube mounting: suitable for 20 mm or 25 mm guard rail tubes

  • Mounting: simply hook onto the railing, clip carabiners lower down, tension lines - done.
